Gaelscoil Osraí, Kilkenny

Works were completed on this 2 storey, 4 classroom, resource room, & library extension to Gaelscoil Osraí in summer 2015.  The existing school is a single storey forticrete clad building with large hipped roofs and the extension has been located at one end and set at an angle to create a new entrance enhanced into the school.  A single storey connection between the old and the new includes a large rooflight which floods the space with natural light making it a warm and inviting space social space.  A new open staircase is located in this social space and leads to two first floor classrooms.
