Windgap House

This new build two storey house was designed within compliance of a 7.2m high existing ridge height condition for the site whilst maximising visual impact on approach and making best use of the prominent site.  To work best within these conditions the primary circulation accommodation was taken out of the main two storey volume and accommodated within feature elements addressing the main volume.  A stone feature wall bookended part of this circulation and created a strong approach line to the front door in addition to adding stone to the building in a defined manner.  This house is constructed to an A2 BER rated standard with a geothermal heat pump system.
